Natural Parks: Montsant

The Sierra de Monstant Natural Park, an hour drive away, is almost entirely in its natural state making for a unique and valuable landscape. A mainly rocky region, it rises abruptly with imposing rocky walls then rises gently up to Roca Corbatera, the highest point at 1163 metres.

There are abundant opportunities for birdwatchers, botanists, cyclists and hikers as well as spectacular drives and sightseeing.

For botanists there are occasionally guided walks but there are also some well signposted Flora Trails designed to give the visitor a taste of the diverse plant life that can be found here. They are fairly short trails and at the moment there only appears to be itineraries in Catalan online so you should enquire at a park information centre when you visit.
